Welcome to another new month! I don't know about you but we feel like this year is flying by!
April is upon us and that means a new prompt - with no April fools!
April's prompt: Use only one or two fabrics in a single block.
Here are a few examples:
If you are looking for a starting print, the echinacea print by Anna Marie Horner (that only has one motif in it!) is a great place to go. Using only this print and a grey solid, Sara was able to create a single large center flower, a border and an effective cornerstone.
Going graphic, Sara used one piece of leftover Tula \Pink wide-back (this is quite glossy and fun to work with!) to make this black, white, and pink beauty. Choosing different elements of the stripes really sets this off.
This is one of Laura's blocks made of two fabrics. One of her fabrics is a gorgeous Anna Marie Horner - from the Brave collection (shown on right) that offered many different motifs to fussy cut. Note how she used the stripe on the petal motif in the jewel as well as the half-hexi which extends the stripe to create more of a texture. Laura chose NOT to pattern match this transition, but it is a great place to give pattern matching a try with only one seam to match on each half-hexi.
Last, but not least, a Tilda print creation made by Sara. It is interesting how much contrast she was able to get from a single floral that is quite a packed design.
We hope you have fun with this! Go forth, and shop your stash for some "one print" magic!
When you have assembled your blocks please post them up on Instagram or Facebook! Tag us and use the sew-along hashtags to help us find and share your beautiful work!

We continue to be awed by all the inspiring blocks that are made from this group- you all are amazing! As always, there is no pressure to follow the prompts, they are just here to give you ideas and inspiration toward different ways to approach your blocks. We LOVE to see all you create!
The Instagram and Facebook algorithms sometimes do strange things and we might miss your block - if we haven't commented or shared, please send us a message! You can bet that if we haven't commented, we haven't seen it. We don't want to miss seeing anyone's work!
