They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Especially in the quilty world - when you see someone who does something so well - and you use their work as a jumping off point for yourself, or as inspiration to try something new or different - everyone wins. Now we are not talking about copying outright, or infringing on intellectual property, but if you curate a group of people whose work inspires you, we think it helps to foster your own creativity. It is in this spirit that we would like to introduce you to some fussy cutters that inspire us and show you a sample of their work. We would encourage you to follow them on Instagram and watch your feed fill with beauty. If you don't already have one, create a public profile on Instagram to share your own sew-along work starting in September.

...and if you are loving sew-alongs, the wonderful Naomi Clarke-Mordy @naomialicec https://www.instagram.com/naomialicec/ hosts the weekly #focuscuttingsewalong which features a different shape every year and a weekly prompt for a block to make. Laura and Sara have been participating for many years and we credit this sew-along as having helped us survive the pandemic!
This is just a start..
There are MANY MANY fabulous makers out there and we encourage you to find more, follow their work, cheer and wonder at their creations and offer up praise for work that inspires you. For us, this is the GOOD part of social media and the internet - a blissful way to get lost in some beauty for a little while - and make some worldwide connections!
